The Soul Engine sits on top of any foundation model as a per-soul LoRA trained on that character's own corpus.
The defensible asset is not the base model — those are interchangeable commodities. It is the accumulated training data that gives each soul its distinct, persistent identity.
This solves a problem prompting alone cannot: personality drift.
A soul defined only through prompts can lose its voice over a long conversation, or shift entirely when you swap the underlying LLM. Because the Soul Engine's personality is encoded in trained weights, not just instructions, it stays consistent no matter which model is doing the reasoning underneath.
The LoRA keeps who the soul is stable. The memory layer keeps what it knows current. Together, they mean the dialogue model can be swapped, upgraded, or load-balanced across providers — without the soul ever "waking up different."
